I personally have not taken any history class beside 1 or 2 lesson about British HIstory when I was doing High School in UK.
I did not pick any particular history curriculum for the kids this year.
I rather to have the kids to study about invention in the past and how it affects and changes lives today. Kids are always curious how things are made and I think this approach is better and more child-led interest.
They are always fascinated how things are make. We have learnt about how piano was invented, how submarine was invented, how Ferris Wheel or the machine that cleaned the ice rank was invented, even how pizza was from. These history are so close to us and I think it is easier for children to understand and absorb and still keep them interested.
